EYR was started back in 1992 with one man and his mission
“to be inclusive and meet the educational needs of all children”
Where It All Started
Payman Mostaan, the company’s founder, started off by going door to door and asking different educational practitioners what they needed. From these conversations, it became apparent that many practitioners struggled with sourcing educational products that were not only appropriate for the curriculum but were good quality and from a trusted supplier. Enter EYR!
Fast forward to the present day and what started as a one-man band, has transformed into multiple departments working to preserve the original vision. Despite time moving us along, we are still asking our customers the same questions we did back in 1992, allowing us to keep up to date with the latest innovations, trends and needs and putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.

We moved! After 10 years we said goodbye to Dale Street and hello to Trafford, more space and new staff!
2004
M&S Mercantile had a makeover and transformed into Early Years Resources
2007
We joined the world of eCommerce with our new website
2008
Our free downloads were launched, offering all educators handy educational resources at no cost!
2012
The EYR Waterway Tower was created, the first of many EYR Exclusive products
2012
We published our first blog! Since then, our blog has evolved into a popular source of industry information, insights and activity ideas!
2018
EYR International was launched online
2022
We won our 4th and 5th product awards!
2023
We launched our facilities range, a collection of hygiene and cleaning products for all settings

Our Charitable Work
As well as supplying primary schools and childcare providers, over our 31 years, we have sought to host events and work with local charities to support local and vulnerable communities. #ExtrasWithEYR was created to increase awareness of these charitable causes and celebrate our achievements as a team.
