Fine Motor
Fine motor skills are the small movements that occur in the hands, wrists, fingers, feet, toes, lips, and tongue. Basic fine motor skill is a child’s ability to use small muscles, specifically in the hands and fingers to pick up small objects, hold a spoon, turn pages in a book, or use a pencil or crayon.
A great way to develop fine motor skills in babies is to incorporate the use of fine motor skills toys which can range from threading toys, lacing toys, and hand-eye coordination activities.
We have a fantastic and comprehensive range of fine motor skills toys to support development for the early years, such as a wooden threading board, spike the fine motor hedgehog, tactile shells, and more.
