1. Purchasing online

Making an online purchase

Orders can be made via our website, telephone or email. Early Years Resources will not be held responsible for any duplication of orders. If it is believed that an order has been sent to us numerous times in error, please inform our Customer Care team immediately. When an order is placed please ensure that correct product codes are used to guarantee that the correct items are ordered for you.

We aim to have all items available at the point of order, however, at times of exceptionally high demand we may temporarily be out of stock for short periods of time.  We will inform you by email within 24 hours of any out-of-stock items ordered.

Title of Goods

The ownership of goods does not pass on to the purchaser until payment of the appropriate invoice has been received in full.

Product Descriptions

Early Years Resources aims to ensure that all product pictures and descriptions are accurate. Colours and product details may however be subject to change without prior notice.

Value Added Tax (VAT) 

All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added where applicable and also applies to carriage charges.

2. Pricing terms & conditions

Product Prices

Prices quoted on the website supersede all previous catalogue prices. Every effort will be made to maintain the prices in our catalogue however Early Years Resources reserves the right to amend, change or cancel product prices without prior notice. 

Price Match Policy

The price to be matched must be for an identical product (including pack size) and be currently available from a mail-order educational supply company.

Prices must be able to be confirmed by a representative of Early Years Resources online or in a current catalogue. Not applicable to special offers, sale items and other promotional discounts. Applicable to product price only, not to delivery or other terms. Claims must be made to our customer service department within 48 hours of placing the order. 

Returns can still be made in accordance with our Returns Policy. However, we reserve the right to take into account any prices matched when processing any claims. At times it may not be possible to price match.

Early Years Resources reserves the right to amend or withdraw this policy at any time without prior notice.

3. Promotional terms & conditions

Promotions

Offers and Discounts are valid until the date specified for each promotion and apply to full-priced items only. 

Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount and are subject to availability and while stocks last. Offers are only applicable to selected products and can only be used once per customer and once per basket. Offers are only applicable to customers in the mainland UK unless otherwise specified. Offers and promotions are not available to Trade customers, EYR staff or family members.

EYR reserve the right to change these terms and conditions on reasonable notice. 

Discounts are applied to the excluding VAT sub-total amount unless otherwise specified

4. Account facility

Account 

Where a credit facility has been agreed upon, payment of invoices is due strictly within 30 days. We only invoice for products that have been delivered, with the exception of ‘made to order’ products (delivered directly from the manufacturer). Any product that is out of stock at the time of dispatch will be marked ‘to follow’ on your sales invoice and will be charged separately. 

Failure to adhere to our credit terms will result in further action being taken. Further costs may be incurred and will result in the credit facility being withdrawn.

New Customers /Non Account Holders
Private individuals are required to pay for goods at the time of ordering. Private establishments may be required to pay for their first order. 

A new customer credit facility may be available after completing a credit check with our Customer Care team. Payment can be made using any major debit/credit card or BACS. 

5. Delivery terms & conditions

Our 2 Day Delivery Service.

Your order will be processed immediately upon receipt and goods which are in stock will be dispatched within approximately 2 working days. This does not include ‘made to order’ products or products coming directly from the manufacturer. At times of high demand the delivery time scale may have to be extended, however, we will endeavour at all times to meet our estimated time scale of 2 days. 

Early Years Resources will not accept liability for loss, damage or expenses arising from the delayed delivery of any goods. To get an accurate delivery time scale contact our Customer Care team.

Made to Order/Direct Delivery Products

Some of our products may come directly from our manufacturers and some products may be made to order with a delivery timescale of approximately 2-60 days. In both instances, this will be indicated on the product page and also on your sales invoice. All deliveries are made Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

Refused Delivery

If a delivery is refused once it has left our warehouse, Early Years Resources reserves the right to charge for the cost of delivery and the cost of returning the goods to our warehouse, the minimum charge is £15.00. To assist with deliveries during school holidays please indicate opening times when placing orders.

Claims

Our Customer Care team must be notified of missing, damaged or faulty products within 48 hours of receipt. A signature made against a delivery is confirmation that the goods have been received as stated on the sales invoice. Claims outside this time frame will not be accepted. Each claim is individually investigated. If it is found that goods have been damaged in transit, the goods will be replaced. However, if the replacement is refused and cancelled by the customer cancellation charges will apply. Please do not sign for the delivery of goods unless you have carefully examined them for damage or missing products.

6. Returns

Returns

Goods should not be returned without first contacting our Customer Care team. Goods are not supplied on a sale or return basis. Should an item need to be returned it must be returned in its original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. 

To make a return there will be a minimum £25.00 collection fee as well as a 15% administration charge plus VAT. This charge may vary if ‘made to order’ items are being returned. If you wish to return goods at your own cost the Customer Care team must first be notified for instructions to be given. 

We will not accept goods returned without prior authorisation. If this occurs, you will still be charged for the goods. When an item is faulty, we reserve the right to repair or replace. If this is not possible, a credit may be issued. For further details please contact our Customer Care team.

Cancellation
Cancellation of orders will be accepted providing the goods have not yet been dispatched from our warehouse, or in the case of ‘made to order items’, the goods have not left our manufacturer’s warehouse or production has not started. If goods have been dispatched then the returns policy will apply.
